There’s a rumor that, a few years ago, after Kiehl’s teamed up with Equinox to stock the locker rooms with fan-favorites from the heritage skin-care brand, gym members began swiping the products and taking them home. After a while, Equinox caught on and bolted the products down to the counters to stop the items from disappearing. But still, the idea that people love Kiehl’s enough to literally steal the beloved lotions and creams off shelves shows some solid brand loyalty. Beginning this August, though, you won’t have to abduct Crème de Corps to get your Kiehl’s fix — you can just go to Sephora.
In news just announced today, Kiehl’s, the 166-year-old apothecary-turned-skin-care-giant, is expanding its distribution to Sephora.com and select Sephora stores — starting August 1. (That’s four days away, people!) This means the next time you pop into Sephora for a Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick refill, you can also leave with all your Kiehl’s go-tos, like the beloved Crème de Corps, Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil, or Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner.
“We are honored to bring our long-standing tradition of quality products and excellence in customer service to Sephora clients,” Chris Salgardo, president of Kiehl’s USA, said in a statement. “Kiehl’s began as a neighborhood apothecary that always put its patrons first, so ensuring that Kiehl’s current fans have accessibility to our efficacious products in any neighborhood is important. We’re so excited by this collaboration, and look forward to an incredible partnership with Sephora.”
Mark your iCals, set your alarms, etc. You’ll be able to start stocking up on your favorite Kiehl’s products on sephora.com beginning Aug. 1. The skin-care brand is also teaming up with several Sephora brick-and-mortar stores — San Francisco in September, New York and Las Vegas in October, and Santa Monica in November — to stock its products on shelves IRL.
