Real talk: There’s nothing worse than painting on a full face beat and then watching it all melt off literally seconds after stepping out into 90-degree temps. Or realizing that your oil-blotting sheets aren’t cutting the shine, sweat, and tears (no? just us) in the thick of summer. Luckily,Glossier has an answer to this: The Wowder.
The Glossier Wowder, which drops today, is a featherlight finishing powder made with light-reflecting diamond powder particles to filter skin IRL, detoxifying kaolin clay to sop up excess oil, and free radical-blocking vitamin E to “cut shine, set makeup, and blur the appearance of pores.”
When applied to the skin post-BB cream (or foundation) using the powder’s accompanying Wowder Brush, our tester found that the supersoft powder seamlessly sweeps onto skin evenly (without any added cakiness or mess) to sop up sheen, and leaves behind a soft-matte finish. (Fun fact: We had to do a touch test to make sure the powder was actually on our skin because it’s that lightweight.) It even works to blot mid-day shine around the T-zone in a pinch, which is why this powder — er, Wowder — has earned a permanent place on our desks for that very reason.
The Glossier Wowder comes in three shades — Light/Medium, Dark/Deep, and Rich — and is available, starting today, for $22 each ($35 with an accompanying Wowder Brush) atglossier.com.
