Kaia Gerber may only be 16, but she’s already shared the catwalk with fashion industry legends.
Thursday night saw the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford walk in the same show as supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Both walked in the Princess Diana-inspired Off-White show, masterminded by designer and Kanye West collaborator Virgil Abloh.
Kaia, who has walked for almost every major designer this season, wore a boxy brown jacket and high-waisted jeans, while 47-year-old Naomi donned a regal white coat and cycling shorts in a tribute to the late princess.
While the teen model’s hair was slicked back into a chic bun, the supermodel’s curly locks were left natural.
Of course, Naomi led the fierce finale with Abloh, putting his arm around her as he thanked the crowd for coming.
The entire collection was based on Princess Diana’s many style signatures from her love of a good padded shoulder to her penchant for athletic wear. Where most designers would stick to traditionally regal looks, Abloh chose to focus on the many teeny tiny biker shorts that filled Diana’s gym wardrobe.
It was a timely inspiration, considering the 20th anniversary of the royal’s death just passed.
This isn’t the first time Kaia and Naomi have walked together this season. Last week, both made an appearance in the mega Versace show which also saw Kaia’s mother, 51-year-old Cindy Crawford, walk alongside her ’90s supermodel friends.
Let’s see if Kaia makes it into the fashion history books.
