So you’ve cleaned out your closets, organized your sock drawer, cooked up a storm and even finished ‘Tiger King’ on Netflix. Want something a little more challenging?
Jigsaw puzzles, the hobby of choice in quarantine, have been selling out left and right—in fact, popular puzzle maker Ravensburger reported a 370 percent spike in sales. In the midst of the madness, a fascinating frontrunner has emerged: a completely clear jigsaw puzzle that looks like it’s designed to make your head explode.
There are absolutely no pictures to assemble, no colors to use as your guide—just a box full of puzzle pieces that are utterly, frustratingly transparent. The aptly named Puzzle Impossible has been is in such high demand that it’s currently sold out, but you can still pre-order it now.
Available in four difficulty levels ranging from Easy (a nine-piece, 3”x3” puzzle) to Crazy (12”x12” and 144 pieces), the puzzle is sure to drive you insane — but in a good way. One puzzle lover who says they’ve only gotten two pieces to fit together so far is stuck on the challenge anyway. “I’m loving this!,” they wrote. “Such a great idea and so well made.”
Unsurprisingly, the most popular puzzle is the most difficult one, which — like all Impossible Puzzles — is currently available for preorder. Prices start at $17 for each of the four difficulty levels, and the price for all four puzzle is $70 (a savings of $17).
There have already been more than 1,100 units sold, and they’ll probably sell like hotcakes again as soon as they’re restocked — so it’s clear you should get yourself on the wait list asap. Just promise us you’ll take a break from the puzzle when you start to lose your marbles.
